During the summer in 1998 by a chance meeting between the band’s early members and the singer, the Roots in the Sky developed: they are roots reggae band from Nettuno (RM). So the traits have begun to show, the traits that have always distinguished the sound of the Roots: the texts sung in patois, old style bases and lyrics that break with the common reggae, including some spiritual themes and conscious texts.

In years the numerous concerts, on the whole of Peninsula, the experiences and the numerous collaborations (Brusco, Villa Ada, Shanty band, Jaka) contribute to model a style, that turns out current, with some interferences dancehall (new roots), winning assents by the whole of Italy, Europe, arriving as far as some African States such as Ghana, where the Roots’ pieces play always on the local radio.

The band, now, dedicates itself to the production of the first complete work, that will contain the pieces written arranged and recorded during the years and moreover some pieces improved with more modern resonance.
